A: Installers are independent and set their own prices. Prices are normally quoted by the square yard and can vary according to type of carpet.
Q: Where does S&S Mills get the names in the installer directory?
A: The majority of the installers in our directory are recommended to us by S&S Mills customers who were satisfied with their installation. We also acquire names of installers from The International Certified Floor Covering Installers Association (CFI) that have been trained and passed a certification test for installation.
Q: What is the guarantee on the installation?
A: Our carpet is covered with a zero manufacturing defect guarantee. The installation is guaranteed by your installer. The industry standard is a one-year warranty in which the installer should repair any problem that is installation related. Ask your installer to explain his warranty to you.
Q: How do I know how much carpet to order?
A: After deciding what type of carpet you want to order, contact an installer to come out to the installation site. The installer will measure the area you plan on carpeting and give you an estimate of the labor and also tell you how much carpet to order.
Q: Does the installer charge to come out and measure?
A: The majority of installers charge a measuring fee. Some installer deduct this measuring fee from the total installation bill at the time of installation. Please check with the installer you choose for his procedure regarding this fee.
Q: Are the installers listed on the directory employed by S&S Mills?
A: No. All of the installers are independent floor covering contractors. Each name we give you has been recommended to us by a satisfied customer or has been certified as a CFI installer.
Q: Do I have to use an installer on the S&S Mills directory?
A: No, the names in the directory only
represent a small percentage of the nation's floor covering installers.
